Publisher Description
Lethal operative Scot Harvath is dispatched to avenge the killing of American citizens abroad in #1 New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brad Thor’s new pulse-pounding thriller.
In the war-ravaged borderlands of Ukraine, a Russian mercenary unit has gone rogue. Its members, conscripted from the worst prisons and mental asylums across Russia, are the most criminally violent, psychologically dangerous combatants to ever set foot upon the modern battlefield.
With all attention focused on the frontlines, they have pushed deeper into the interior to wage a campaign of unspeakable barbarity. As they move from village to village, committing horrific war crimes, they meet little resistance as all able-bodied men are off fighting the war.
Simultaneously, a team of Russian soldiers has been dispatched by the Kremlin to loot truckloads of art and priceless cultural treasures hidden away in a host of churches, museums, and private homes.
When multiple American aid workers are killed, America’s top spy, Scot Harvath, is sent in to settle the score. But in a country so vast, will Harvath be able to find the men in question and, more importantly, will he be able to stop them before they can kill again?
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
This installment of Brad Thor’s long-running Scot Harvath thriller series is as unrelenting as war itself. When a band of Russian mercenaries called the Ravens starts rampaging through Ukraine perpetrating horrid war crimes—as well as kidnapping American altruist Anna Royko—government agent and former Navy SEAL Harvath steps in to give ’em hell. He heads to the heart of the action, assembling an international alliance of hard cases, and the fur starts flying. Thor’s thriller expertise ensures that all the explosive action in this adventure still seems true to life. He doesn’t shy away from honestly depicting the horrors of the battle, and Armand Schultz’s intense, no-nonsense narration makes you feel like you’re getting the story from the front lines in real time. If you like a mix of head-spinning political intrigue, nail-biting suspense, and thrilling action, dive into Dead Fall.

Author Allowed His Political Opinions To Show
I’m a huge fan of the Harvath series, purchased every one including this but really disappointed the author choose to turn this into a one-sided narrative. He is going to alienate many of his fans.
Super Disappointed
I have read/listened to all of Brad Thor’s novels. This one I could not get through fast enough to get it over with, as Thor has moved away from just good ol’ fashion patriotism and heroism and in to a not so subliminal messaging as divisive in nature as the culture is seems to want to condemn. This fan, and others I suspect, will search elsewhere in the future to get back to what made these novels great on the first place. Patriots and hero’s punishing the deserving without all the nonsense of a culture divide explored from one side. And I assure you the excuses around trying to explore that divide, to give credit to our current state of society, are not relevant in the way the narrative is presented. Good riddance Brad Thor.
