APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Conflicting narratives turn this twisty domestic thriller into a fascinating puzzle. Author Kimberly Belle weaves together two alternating storylines, that of Beth, a woman who has escaped from domestic abuse, and that of befuddled husband Jeffrey, who hires a determined detective, Marcus, to find out what happened to his missing wife, Sabine. Belle nimbly teases out the secrets that draw the mystery together—it’s a riveting listen that rewards you for paying attention to details. A trio of narrators give each character their own compelling personality, keeping the story unfolding at a feverish pace. Dear Wife’s craftiness will keep you totally hooked.
It was fine until the end
We like surprise endings, but this book’s ending was confusing. You think you are listening to 2 characters, but in the end, you learn they weren't who you thought you are listening to this entire time. That made me dislike the book — three-star tops for me. The end made it a book I would not listen to again.
It was spellbinding. I highly recommend it.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
