Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Riveting & Heartfelt!

Patricia D. Eddy pens another amazing romantic suspense set in her “Away From Keyboard” world and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the fantastic characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. Eddy created something very special when she created this world, and it is one of my favorite places to spend some time in. The books in this series stand on their own but some characters make appearances in each other’s books and knowing their backstory is beneficial and adds some more depth, plus the characters are all amazing and it is always great to see them again. This book is Wyatt, former Navy Seal and Hope, a victim and survivor who is on the run from a bad situation. Wyatt’s days with the Navy Seals are over but he suffers from PTSD and is attacks can be crippling for him, his canine partner, Murphy, is the only one who can help him get out of his head when he is having an attack, he calms him. He could not handle the noise of the city, so he moved off the grid to a remote location in the mountains. When Murphy alerts him that something is wrong, he leads him to a vehicle that is on the side of the mountain, barely hanging on with a seriously injured woman inside. He rescued her, but with the storm he could only take her back to his cabin and treat her injuries himself, and it would be days before it was clear enough for anyone could travel. Hope was running for her life, after escaping from captivity and her captive’s goons were on her tail before she lost control of her car and went off the road onto the side of the mountain. She was on her way to Seattle to turn in Simon, her capture, and give them information about his illegal operation. She trusts no one but opens up to Wyatt, and tells him that her being there is putting him in danger, but he is used to danger and has friends who can help, former military and special forces, who have the connections and the resources she needs to keep her safe. He calls Ryker and he and the team for from “Away from the Keyboard” agreed to help and head their way, getting there in just the nick of time. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a cleverly plotted story with a perfect balance of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and fabulous romance, Wyatt and Hope were great together and for each other. Patricia D. Eddy, thank you for another amazing story and a wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Aiden Snow and Grace Grant did an amazing job portraying these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they are and were believable in every role they played. Grant nailed it as Hope, grasping all sides of her personality, including her strength and determination, and Aiden Snow did the same for Wyatt. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone, capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance and have you feeling every single one. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
