Scripture reveals that the great business of life is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever. In this paradigm-shattering classic, newly revised and expanded, John Piper reveals that the debate between duty and delight doesn't truly exist: Delight is our duty. Join him as he unveils stunning, life impacting truths you saw in the Bible but never dared to believe. // John Piper, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis since 1980, is the author of The Dangerous Duty of Delight, Desiring God, Future Grace, A Godward Life, and The Pleasures of God. He received his doctorate in theology from the University of Munich and taught biblical studies for six years at Bethel College, St. Paul, before becoming a pastor. He and his wife, Noel, have four sons and one daughter.

Eye Opener

I enjoyed reading this book and learned that finding happiness in God instead of money and wealth is far more satisfying.

A question about a review I just read that called the book garbage. I would like to know what books you could recommend that are wayyy better. If they are so much better I must read them.

God redeemed ,

Excellent book.I have the hard copy. If you want to know about being satisfied in God without the need for health, wealth and prosperity buy this book. Otherwise read the Joel OSteen book. John Piper articulates that God is most glorified when we are most satisfied in Him.

Desiring God

This book will change your life! Imagine finding pleasure in seeking God, that is the premise of this book. I read this in a men's study group and struggled with the idea that Christians could be hedonistic in their pursuite of God. Not only is it true but it is a must for all Christians to find the true meaning of what God desires of us. I read the biography of Charles Finney many years ago and was struck by the way God touched his life. He said the presence of God was so overwhelming he thought he was going to die. I am looking forward to reading "When I Don't Desire God" by John Piper.
Thank you Mr. Piper
