Narrator a disappointment
The voices are just dreadful. Vidal sounds like a sneering whiner and all the women sound simpering and ridiculous. I'm sorry to say it makes it impossible to listen to the story.
"Elderly" voice of hero is discouraging
I read the reviews for this Audible recording on the Audible website. After reading the reviews and listening to the sample for this, one of my favorite Georgette Heyer books, I will not buy this Audible recording. The main male character in the book is a 24 year-old young man. The narrator makes him sound much too old and raspy voiced. What a shame! Richard Armitage, please, to do an unabridged version. Now that is an Audible version I would buy.
I love this version
I have listened to this audiobook countless times in the past several years. A fine romance!
