Excellent and fun adventure!
I have read this book before and listened to the audiobook narrated by Michael Drew, which is very good. I wanted to listen to this new version based on the positive reviews. Michael Maloney does an excellent job with the narration, imbuing it with more energy than the previous version. He does portray Avon with the appropriate sangfroid, though still with an underlying alertness his character is described as possessing. The reader can only hope that Vidal continues to evolve to become a mature adult and the devoted husband his father became. Enjoy the adventure!
