He would hire Nannies to raise her, ensure that she was safe, healthy, and had everything that she needed, but he would remain focused on his life’s work. Enter Eira Cadigan, who worked for an elite placement agency. While she didn’t make an acceptable first impression, Dax soon realized that she was the only Nanny he wanted caring for Guinevere. Eira, in turn, was determined to facilitate a bond between Dax and his daughter. She had been raised by Nannies and felt the pain of feeling no interest from either of her parents. Both feel an irresistible attraction to the other, but Dax did not want to risk losing Guinevere’s Nanny and Eira didn’t want to jeopardize her professional good name and risk her future earning potential.

This was a really charming story. I always love a single dad, and this one had so much growth potential that having a front row seat to his gradually falling in love with his daughter was swoon-worthy. It was really entertaining observing the way Eira managed Dax in order to achieve that goal. There were many sections where I laughed out loud at the Cove family antics, and the chemistry between Dax and Eira was super spicy. I love to read books about large families, and this family of five brothers was a hoot. I had not had the opportunity to read the rest of this series prior to reading this book, so I can attest that it functions well as a stand-alone novel. I regret having gotten so far behind on the author’s books, because I am positive that I will enjoy the whole series. I cannot wait to find out! If you are a fan of the single dad, close proximity romantic comedy, then I have no doubt that you will love this book as much as I did. Dr. Single Dad is the latest stand alone romance by Louise Bay. Dax Cove is a research doctor with the belief that his only focus can be for his work in research until the morning he receives a phone call from a former one-night-stand. I love watching a clueless hero learn to care for and love his child once he learns of his/her existence. That is exactly what Dax does with the help of his nanny Eira. Eira is such a beautifully damaged soul whose love is to care for everyone in her life making sure they are happy and feel cared for which includes her siblings, her charges and their parents. The instant attraction between Dax and Eira is so palpable. The journey to love that these two take, is both beautiful and heartfelt. Will Dax learn just how much he loves his daughter and that he can have both a personal and professional life? Will Eira learn how to live for herself and to just be a sibling rather than their care provider too? Will the love of little Gueneverie bring Dax and Eira together? I love the Cove family and how they so easily bring new found significant others into their fold while showering them with so much needed love and acceptance. Dr Single Dad by Louise Bay has so many feelings in this single-dad, nanny, and found family love story that I just couldn’t put it down til the end. *****
