Stoker's inspirations for Count Dracula are heavily debated, but most agree that Dracula was based in part on the historical figure of Vlad the Impaler, a fifteenth-century Romanian ruler known for his indiscriminate brutality, which included a taste for impaling people alive on wooden spikes and watching them die in slow agony.

Perfect narrator!
The narrator of this version is perfect! His voice gives just the right feeling of creepiness for the book.
Poor Narration Quality
This review is about the audio production and quality. There are many MANY instances of where entire sentences are repeated.
The narrator makes a mistake of swapping the accent of Quincy (an American Texan) and Arthur (a British noble) back and forth. Eventually the narrator sticks to one accent for each, but has them backwards, so for the majority of the book the British noble speaks with an American western accent and the American speaks with a British accent.
The overall audio levels seemed set to try and induce a creepy sound, understandable but a bit forced.
On the plus side he does a great job with the female voices.
