Drake McGinn turned his back on hockey after the league betrayed him. Will the Titans be his chance to clear his name and take back the career he once loved?
After I made the decision to divorce, my ex-wife set out on a smear campaign against me, telling anyone who would listen that I was betting on hockey and throwing games. It wasn’t surprising that my ex told the lies, but the fact that the media, league, and fans chose to believe her baseless claims was unforgivable. I walked away from it all and never looked back.
Having settled into life as a single dad to three boys, I’m content. I have more money than I could ever need, and plenty of time to do whatever I want, whenever I want, and whoever I want. So when Brienne Norcross, the team owner for the Pittsburgh Titans, shows up at my house with a job offer, I have no problem turning her down. But the no-nonsense billionaire, with sinfully seductive red lips and killer heels that would look hot as hell thrown over my shoulders, won’t take “no” for an answer.
Now I need to find balance between hockey, my boys, and the explosive chemistry Brienne and I can no longer deny. A cast-off hockey player and the league’s only female team owner? I can think of a million reasons why it could never work but can’t bring myself to care about a single one of them. Game on.
Drake and Brienne Rocked my World! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic's Read
I have loved everything about this series. The sadness and loss coupled with the healing and love, then add in HOCKEY PLAYERS. More please. Drake and Brienne's story was one I was really hoping would be a favorite and it was!

I finished this yesterday and I’m still sitting here contemplating what to write in my review.
Drake is explosive both literally and figuratively. He’s angry; at the league, at his ex-wife, at the hand he’s been dealt. He says he’s happy with his life and making sure his boys are his priority. But is he really?
Briefness is a strong female; in business and in her personal life. She’s had to be. She has lost everything: her parents and her brother. She has no family. And because she’s been fully involved running the family empire she has no friends or personal relationships.
These two appear to hate each other at first meet, but that’s just a ruse. Yes they are explosive but not in the anger way. There are so many obstacles in their way, or so they think, that they decide to skew it a stick it to the league relationship. But what will happen when feelings get involved? And what will happen when your past comes back to haunt you?
God I love Aiden Snow so this book was a dream for me. Especially since I was listening to it in the middle of the night. Maxine Mitchell is always a great listen. This was my first audiobook with this pairing and I have to say they work very well together. I’ll be looking for more books narrated by this pair.
Drake's hockey career ended when his drug addict ex-wife tells the league he was betting on his team. When his former team believe the accusations and released him from the team, it left Drake bitter and caused him to turn his back on the career he loved.
Brienne, the new owner of the Pittsburgh Titans, is trying to rebuild the team after a horrific plane crashed killed most the the team as well as her brother. Her first meeting with Drake to convince him to join the Titans did not go well but she was determined to change his mind. Heading to his home town, Brienne once again pleads her case about wanting Drake on the team. With the support of his family and the best interest of his boys, he decides to join the Titans.
The attraction and chemistry between Drake and Brienne is combustible. They started out with a no-strings-attached arrangement but when they both give into their feelings of love for one another, will Drake's ex ruin his chance at a HEA or will the backlash from an owner and a player falling in love keep them apart.
Absolutely perfect narration from Aiden Snow and Maxine Mitchell.
