Now, I'm navigating through purgatory while trying not to get turned on by the way she holds my hand or kisses my jaw. It's all fake, that's what I keep telling myself - even though it feels entirely too real.

A Fabulously Delightful Story & Listen 🎧📚🎧
Loved this book, Meghan Quinn is a gifted author and a master of RomCom, she never fails to deliver the laughs and the love, a perfect balance of comedy and romance. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to fall in love with too. I adored the two lead characters Brock “Romeo” Romero and Stella Garcia, teacher co-workers and friends. Brock wanted to take their friendship to the next level but she missed that memo and his first intended date turned out to be an epic fail, turning their friendship in to the frenemy category. Stella never knew why things changed between them, but working together and sharing the same circle friends it was hard for Brock to avoid her. Their friends Arlo and Greer are getting married in Hawaii and planned a whole week of wedding festivities for friends and family. Stella was surprised to not only find her father was staying in the same resort but he was there with his new fiancé, making matters worse it is someone she knows and has history with, not good a good history. Ashley two years he senior was a bully to her in her own H.S. days and seeing her brings back all of Stella’s insecurities from those days. Put on the spot she comes up that she is there with her fiancé and blurts out Brock’s name. Now she has to convince Brock to get on board and play the role, not an easy task but his feelings get the best of him and he goes along. I love how everything plays out in this book, the story is mesmerizing and entertaining. There are many hilarious scenes, I loved Stella’s shenanigans and her sass. The secondary characters, her friends are awesome too. There is also some drama, a touch of angst, heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful romance. Meghan Quinn thank you for another fabulously delightful novel and a fun and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Erin Mallon and Sebastian York’s talent knows no bounds. They are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. Their portrayal of each character is just amazing, they grasp each character’s persona completely then take the role and make it their own, sounding believable and just how I picture them to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, handle the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor flawlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧
