"Melissa Foster is synonymous with sexy, swoony, heartfelt romance!" (New York Times best seller Lauren Blakely)
Welcome to Oak Falls, Virginia, home to horse farms, midnight rodeos, bookstores, coffee shops, and quaint restaurants where you’re greeted like family and treated like treasured guests. Buckle up for a wild ride. Like any Southern girls worth their salt, the sweet-talking, sharp-tongued Montgomery sisters can take men to their knees with one seductive glance or a single sugarcoated sentence.
In Embracing Her Heart....
Leaving New York City and returning to her hometown to teach a screenplay writing class seems like just the break Grace Montgomery needs. Until her sisters wake her at 4:30 in the morning to watch the hottest guys in town train wild horses and she realizes that escaping her sisters’ drama-filled lives was a lot easier from hundreds of miles away. To make matters worse, she spots the one man she never wanted to see again - ruggedly handsome Reed Cross.
Reed was one of Michigan’s leading historical preservation experts, but on the heels of catching his girlfriend in bed with his business partner, his uncle suffers a heart attack. Reed cuts all ties and returns home to Oak Falls to run his uncle’s business. A chance encounter with Grace, his first love, brings back memories he’s spent years trying to escape.
Grace is bound and determined not to fall under Reed’s spell again - and Reed wants more than another taste of the woman he’s never forgotten. When a midnight party brings them together, passion ignites and old wounds are opened. Grace sets down the ground rules for the next three weeks. No touching, no kissing, and if she has it her way, no breathing, because every breath he takes steals her ability to think. But Reed has other ideas....
Loved Reed and Grace!
I read Embracing Her Heart several years ago and recently received the audio version and fell in love all over again for Reed and Grace. High school sweethearts from rival towns make it hard to be yourself. I absolutely love the small town setting, large family with unconditional love all the time in a Melissa Foster book. The conflict/angst in a book is usually always cleared up with real communication when the time is right in the story. Embracing Her Heart is a second chance romance at its best. Will both Reed and Grace embrace their feelings and grab hold of that forever love? Andi Arndt and Sebastian York narrate this audiobook. I love these two. Both voice actors are super talented and do an amazing job bringing Reed and Grace to life in my head. Andi Arndt is amazing. I’ve listened to her voice in a bunch of audiobooks, great job. Sebastian York is one of my top 3 favorite male narrators. His voice is so smooth and what he can do with a between-the-sheets action is out of this world. Oh, did I mention that Melissa Foster can really, really write a super hot between-the-sheets scene? She definitely can and these two narrators bring it to life amazingly! Totally recommend both the book and the audiobook!
Embracing Her Heart
Ugh. BORING. I fast forwarded through many parts and didn’t miss anything. I almost gave up on it, but I always have to know how things end.
Small town perfection
My first ever Melissa Foster book and boy, I am glad I came across it! I be checking out the other books in the series because I fell irrevocably in love with not just the characters and storyline, but the author’s writing style.
Grace and Reed’s second chance love story was…perfect!! I absolutely loved every single second of their book! The story’s pace and how everything developed between them was perfect for me!
Also, Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are brilliant narrators so that was another plus!
5 stars and a top 2021 fave.
