Publisher Description
In Emma, Jane Austen presents one of her most charming yet flawed heroines — Emma Woodhouse, a wealthy young woman with a passion for matchmaking and a tendency to meddle in others' lives. Believing herself to be an expert in love, Emma attempts to orchestrate romantic pairings among her friends, often with humorous and unintended consequences.
As her plans unravel and her self-assuredness is challenged, Emma is forced to confront her own feelings, misjudgments, and personal growth. The novel is a delightful comedy of manners that explores themes of pride, class, and the complexities of human relationships, all with Austen's signature wit and insight.

Bad reading
I chose this reading for the calm voice the narrator seemed to have. However, the sample didn’t do the reading justice.
The narration is VERY dull, there are no differences in the character voices, and emotional expressions are VERY amiss.
Adding to the disappointment of the narration are very strange stops and starts to the middle of sentences, grammar is treated strangely in the reading, and I often wondered whether this was created using an AI voice - though i can’t find a single mention of AI in the description. I just now came to a point in the story where the main character asked a question and the narrator literally ended the statement by SAYING the word ‘question mark’. Im almost 90% convinced this is either AI or a very novice and faulting reading.
I’m sorry i spent the $3 on this while at the same time relieved it was only 3…
