Publisher Description
Camryn moore doesn't do Decemeber. Not the parties. Not the memories. Not the pain. She buries herself in boardrooms by day and dirty martinis by night, trading connection for control. As a high-powered CFO, she’s unshakeable. Untouchable. But behind the sharp
suits and sharper tongue is a woman slowly unravelling.
Then she meets him. A stranger. A spark. A moment that should’ve meant nothing somehow changes everything.
Dec is charming, handsome, reserved, and maddeningly perceptive. He seems to see every crack Camryn hides. But Dec isn’t just a man nursing his own ghosts. He’s hiding truths that could destroy whatever fragile trust is beginning to form between them.
In a season she hates, Camryn might have to face the past she’s buried, the love she thought she’d never have, and the man who might just ruin her.
Or save her.

JEM IT AGAIN!
What a beautiful love story but I warn you, get out your tissues for this one. This is now one of my favorites. Shane East has the voice of a god.
Incredible Story & Narration🎧Riveting & Emotional!
Wow, what a brilliantly written and incredibly moving story, a romance like no other and a story that you can not tear yourself away from. Camryn Moore, a broken woman running from her sorrow and inner demons, trying to keep going in life, but barely surviving the heartache. She is a CFO and has an excellent track record at turning companies’ finances around, and she does not like to fail, but her latest job is proving to be a challenge, thanks to the owner of the company, who does not listen. Long workdays keep her busy and her mind off of everything she is trying to forget, the state her life is in, and after work she drinks until she can not think anymore. While out drinking by herself, she cleverly deters company until she meets him, Dec, a man who intrigues her. December is a tough month for Camryn, and she is an emotional wreck, and making it even harder is those around her pushing the cheery holidays. Dec is drawn to her like a moth to a flame, and slowly she opens up to him, and we get a bird's-eye view of what went on in her life for the past year, in bits and pieces at first. Dec has his own secrets, ones that may crush her. I recommend going into this story knowing as little as possible and avoiding all spoilers. I loved the complexity of the characters, their growth and development, as well as the originality of the story, all its layers and how it is told. Malpas brings you on their journey, a tough journey, of healing, letting go and learning to live and love again. I adored the two lead characters, whom my heart went out to them, and there are some wonderful side characters too, including Mr. P and Albee, two of my favorites. This story dives deep into your emotions and brings them all out, and unforgettable story that will stay with you for a very long time. Thank you, Jodi Ellen Malpas, for this amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Zara Hampton-Brown, Shane East, and Christopher Tester did a fantastic job voicing these characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Hampton-Brown nailed it as Camryn, grasping every aspect of her personality and her every emotion, a performance that was moving and heartfelt. East did the same as Dec and was just as fabulous in showcasing his personality and demeanor, as well as his emotions. Tester picked up the roles of the side and secondary characters, and was fantastic in each role. These three were a wonderful narration team, and their captivating performance keeps you glued to the story. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
