Publisher Description
Knives Out and Clue meet Agatha Christie and The Thursday Murder Club in this “utterly original” (Jane Harper), “not to be missed” (Karin Slaughter), fiendishly clever blend of classic and modern murder mystery.
“A witty twist on classic whodunits… Stevenson not only 'plays fair,' he plays the mystery game very, very well.” -- Maureen Corrigan, Washington Post
Everyone in my family has killed someone. Some of us, the high achievers, have killed more than once. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but it is the truth. Some of us are good, others are bad, and some just unfortunate.
I’m Ernest Cunningham. Call me Ern or Ernie. I wish I’d killed whoever decided our family reunion should be at a ski resort, but it’s a little more complicated than that.
Have I killed someone? Yes. I have.
Who was it?
Let’s get started.

Good
Good narration- the book was good, but the book was not finished in my opinion— I wanted to know more about the villain. I suppose the author has the right to give a blanket motive for the villain— but it was not enough for me. Nonetheless, the pace, the tone, and overall characters were great.
Fun Whodunnit
This story had a good cast of characters, witty asides by the protagonist, an assortment of dead bodies, a remote location made more precarious by a blizzard, and surprising revelation of whodunnit. The only negative for me (and this is just me nitpicking) is that the author uses the word ‘assume’ multiple times throughout the book and I only noticed because the narrator pronounces it “ashoom”. I get he has an Australian accent and that not the point, just the repetitiveness of the word and it was more obvious to my U.S. English ears because of that. I may start pronouncing it ashoom henceforth.
Entertaining
