Borrow but don’t buy
This book does not deliver on it’s promise. If you read the foreword, you will not but be disappointed by the majority of the stories that follow. In most of the stories, the true villain gets beat. And what we really get is some plucky antiheroes. I will double down by insisting that the foreword is pretentious if not fraudulent.
Entertaining
Short fantasy stories, most with dark themes. Entertaining and interesting storylines. I liked all of the short stories. The narrator did a fantastic job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
