The classic Evil Under the Sun, one of the most famous of Agatha Christie’s Poirot investigations, has the fastidious sleuth on the trail of the killer of a sun-bronzed beauty whose death brings some rather shocking secrets into the light.
The beautiful bronzed body of Arlena Stuart lay face down on the beach. But strangely, there was no sun and Arlena was not sunbathing…she had been strangled.
Ever since Arlena’s arrival the air had been thick with sexual tension. Each of the guests had a motive to kill her, including Arlena’s new husband. But Hercule Poirot suspects that this apparent “crime of passion” conceals something much more evil.

Fun!
Agatha Christie was a great writer, no question about it. I haven’t read many of her books, and this is my first audiobook of hers. Amazing how she puts the whole story together and keeps you guessing the whole time. I loved the narration, how he was able to make all the colorful characters really come alive. Very entertaining! I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because, although I totally adore the British accent, it was somewhat difficult at times to understand him. Overall, however, very, very good. I will be looking for and listening to more AC mysteries....☺️
Evil Under the Sun by Agatha Christie
If you love Agatha Christie then by all means you must listen to or read this particular Title. It is not my favorite Christie book. It has been made into many different film adaptations. Suchet is my favorite Poirot. He is not my favorite narrator. He is pretty good as a narrator but his women’s voices leave a lot to be desired. Hugh Fraser is most people’s hands down favorite.
