Publisher Description
A smart, funny, and refreshingly candid memoir from Mark Hoppus, the vocalist, bassist, and founding member of pop-punk band blink-182. Narrated in his own voice, the audiobook offers an intimate and immersive experience that fans won’t want to miss.
This is the story of an angst-filled kid from the desert, navigating the chaos of his parents' bitter divorce and searching for his place in the world. Each move across the country was a chance to reinvent himself, switching identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and eventually meeting his best friend who just so happens to be his musical soulmate.
With sharp humor and raw honesty, Fahrenheit-182 takes readers through Mark's formative years as a latchkey kid in the 1980s, hooked on punk rock, skateboards, and MTV. Along the way, Mark reflects on his lifelong battle with anxiety, his celebrated career with blink-182, and his public fight with cancer, in a voice that’s both relatable and unmistakably his own.
Threaded with heartfelt grit, Fahrenheit-182 is more than just a memoir for blink-182 fans. It’s a funny, smart, and deeply human story for anyone who’s struggled, reinvented themselves, wanted to quit but kept going.

Amazing
I really love this book I can read it over and over again. I love how mark tells all. I really loved how posers of blink 182 songs were brought up in his book and he describes how songs were made. Adam’s song was explained with him running back to bed but spoiled apple juice on floor. His George Carlin words which he loves and used in song as well. I love this book. I have nothing but good things to say about this book and how fun it is and hearing it in marks voice is even better the cherry on the ice cream. I love this and Travis barkers book. I bought both in audio and in physical book as well. Best books I have read in a long time!
182 Finally Explained. Blink never lets us down.
Get this. It’s so good!! Mark proves to be intelligent, witty, and insightful in life and in telling his (and Blink’s) history etc.
I grew up on Blink, and admittedly I’m a major Tom fanboy, but I love Mark too, and he wrote a strong book here. He even narrated!! It doesn’t get much better than that!
I laughed, laughed hysterically, and even nearly cried as he recounted his home being sundered by divorce. There’s untold band history that we all always theorized and wanted answers to when a part of our heart just got taken away.
Dude, Mark, you have a gift for both the spoken, written, and sung word.
Thanks for an audiobook that exceeded my already surging expectations! You rock!!! Hope I can be 5% as awesome as you in chasing my dreams.
❤️
I loved this! As a lifelong Blink fan since seeing them perform at my high school lunch, I was in heaven! I took it on as an experience: I read the book AND listened and both were outstanding!
