Needed: fake boyfriend for destination wedding
I came out to my parents when I was 15. Sadly, this has never stopped my mother from finding lovely young women for me to date. My sister suggests I bring my own date to her destination wedding. Problem is, I don't know how to find dates. The only man I've spoken to recently is my roommate. My way too hot - straight - roommate. My sister says I should ask him to play my boyfriend. It'll be fun, she says.
Now, I'm sitting next to him on a plane, and I constantly have to adjust myself so he doesn't notice that I'm into him.
In a few hours we'll be at our hotel, sharing the only bed in the room.
I don't know how I'll survive this wedding without exploding. I do know I'll never listen to my sister again.
Fake the Date is a 60,000-word stand-alone m/m romance with little angst and lots of laughter, featuring a tropical island paradise, a not-so-fake relationship, bisexual awakening, a sassy dog, and happy endings. Buy now if you need a vacation!

A Wonderful Delight of a Story! Fantastic Listen🎧
I loved everything about this book, it is a sweet friends to lovers romance via the fake relationship route. The story swept me in immediately, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire book. I adored the two lead characters, Ben and Evan, Ben, a kind hearted college student who likes to take in strays. He has a cat named Miss Daisy, a dog named Toto and a roommate named Evan who is crushing on, a crush that will go no where since Evan is a straight man. Evan, a social media influencer is a bit of a wanderer, he is planning to set off to his next destination. Before he goes he volunteers to be Ben’s pretend boyfriend and date for his sister’s wedding. His sister, Charlie, loves the idea and is on board knowing their parents will not be happy about it. It is a destination wedding and Ben and Evan will be sharing a room and a bed for the duration of their stay. Fully on board Evan plays the perfect boyfriend so no one could mistake it as fake, he plays it so well that it seems real. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is lighthearted and nicely plotted with the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt and emotional moments as some hot romance. I loved how much Ben grew as a person by the end, standing up to his parents who were a real piece work and doing something for himself instead of them. Shout out to two other stars in this story, Toto and Aunt Rose, both were awesome characters. Ana Byrde, thank you for this enjoyable and entertaining novel.
🎧📚🎧 John Solo is a fabulously talented narrator and a versatile narrator. He brings these characters to life, humanizes them, giving each their own voice and personality. He has a complete understanding on how each character should sound and then portrays them accordingly. He set the perfect tone for the story, captures the characters emotions and projects them into his performances. He did a great job with landing the humor too. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.
