Publisher Description
I've stared into the face of Death, falling victim to her deceptively sweet lullaby. Until she released me from her icy grip without any warning, sending me stumbling back out the other side to continue on as if nothing happened.
When I come to in the hospital as their mysterious John Doe, I discover that the past year of my life never happened at all.
But I remember all of it. Every drop of blood shed, every life lost, every bullet fired.
I've been propelled back into a personal hell where I'm fraternizing with the very men whose souls I've coaxed from their bodies.
Where the woman I love has no idea who I am.
Where the driving force behind my revenge is alive and well, and has taken it upon herself to make sorting out my new reality increasingly difficult.
I'm reliving each day as if it hasn't already happened while everyone around me remains oblivious to the truth. My sole objective is preventing history from repeating itself, and I’m failing miserably.
Perhaps I'm death incarnate. Perhaps I'm the embodiment of life.
Either way, I plan to set the scales straight, reclaim my precious little lamb, and take back what's rightfully mine.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧Intriguing & Intense!
Jen Stevens pens another amazing novel, a dark and twisted romance, including some paranormal elements, all while putting her own unique spin on second chances. The first book in her “Parallel Prey” series, “Prey Drive”, a not to be missed book, ended in a complete mind-blow, and this story picks up from there, a continuation of Sebastian “Bash” Lancaster and Jovie’s story. Sienna, Bash’s twin sister, who befriends Jovie, plays a big part in this book, too, though I still have some questions, which will probably get answered in Sienna’s book, “Gods of Prey”, which is coming soon. Keeping this review spoiler-free, because it is best to enjoy the wild ride as you go, I will only say Bash impressed me with all he did, I loved his determination to find his way back to the person he loved, plus seeing how much more there was to him. Jovie grows so much as a character in this book, even impressing herself when she finally realizes it. These two are one powerhouse of a couple in the end. There is never a dull moment in this book, a cleverly plotted, multi-layered story with plenty of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, twists and turns, some you never saw coming, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Jen Stevens, thank you for another intriguing story and thought-provoking story and wild, emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Hannah Chiclana and Greg Salinas continue to do an outstanding job bringing these characters to life and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Their character voices have been consistent throughout the duet, and their talent and versatility as voice artists truly shine in their performance. They persist in fully portraying their character’s personality, Chiclana as Jovie and Salinas as Bash, both evolving in their roles as their characters grew. And they were just as amazing performing the roles of the side/secondary characters, too, including Sienna. Their passionate performance, with its range of emotions, was palpable and engaging. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating performance rivets you to the story.
