All of the feels
This story holds a special place in my heart thanks mostly to the character they call Sean Mason.
If you don’t give this story a try - you’ll miss out on something really special. Your call.
I never knew you could make zombies boring
The plot is flat as a pancake, and the relationship between the brother and sister duo borders on Flowers in the Attic. All those pinprick tests every 5 pages seem like a greater infection risk than walking into a “Level 10 Zone”. Are the zombies dead TWD style or alive 28 Days Later style? The author seems to have not decided. Some lines are so repetitive that an eye roll would be an underreaction— looking at you “over 40 lbs” and “I feel a migraine coming”. Overall a very “Meh” read, but maybe I’m not the target audience. However, I am most surprised by the fact that a publisher read this and still greenlit TWO follow-ups.
