Declan O’Donnelly (age 32) was the quietest, works around the docks ‘deals drugs.’
Aela O’Neill (age 32) is a prof at Rhode Island School of Design and renowned artist. She was the best friend of Deirdre, Declan’s high school girlfriend. She didn’t trust him and was shot and killed on the docks when she followed him.
Theirs was a sweet love and you really feel bad for Declan. The way Aidan Sr kept putting him down and trying to make him ‘a man’ along with being blackmailed. At least Aela got to live her life. Watching them become a real couple and reconnect was beautiful. Aela’s inner monologue was repetitive at times and got annoying but otherwise good writing.
Slow burn to medium burn scenes.
Seamus (age 14) is the secret child Declan didn’t know he had. Being surrounded by many strong characters he really held his own and very excited to see where life takes him.
Of course I loved all the cameos and glad Aoife and Inessa get to include another girl in their group.
Onto Cruz next according to the reading order.
