Finding His Mark: A steamy, small-town, protector romance

I love how there's little hesitation on his part to pursue the FMC. So many times it takes half or three quarters of the book for him to give in. Fighting to get through her walls is a welcome change, and even though she was reluctant at first, it didn't take long for her to see that his intentions were good. That allowed for the action of the story to get rolling and the conflict be less psychological. Love PJ's books and can't wait to read more.

I've listened to most of the other books in the Lynnard Station/Big 3 Security/GHOST series (out of order). There's a larger story that continues though the series, but Lincoln and Skye's story is resolved in this book. I like that the characters are old enough to have some life experience. The ending came up a bit abruptly, but it's not a cliffhanger and I'm looking forward to listening to more by PJ Fiala.

I listened to the audiobooks. Like the other books in the series, this one is narrated by the fabulous team of Troy Duran and Rose Dioro. They do an excellent job with their performances, and they add another dimension to the story.

PJ Fiala pens another amazing romantic suspense novel, the second in the “Big 3 Security” series. The story swept me in immediately, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire book. The first book of the series was Ford Montgomery’s story, a former Army Ranger, turned bounty hunter who started Big 3 Security so he could stay closer to home and be near the new loves of his life. Lincoln is one of the security experts with Big 3 Security and his assignment brings him to Limitless International to collect one of their employees and bring him into custody. Turns out there is a lot of shady business going on at that company and Lincoln will investigate further. Skye Sommers thought she had her dream job at Limitless International, but that dream turns out to be a nightmare for her. Her boss did not appreciate that she turned over one of their employees to the authorities, he also did not like that she was friendly with Lincoln. It was eye opening for her and she saw more irregularities going on and then she witnesses a murder and the killers looked familiar to her. The chemistry between Lincoln and Skye is sizzling and when she and her family are in danger, it is he who comes to the rescue and vows to keep them safe. This is another cleverly plotted story and a great addition to the series, there is plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, some angst, action, mystery, thrilling suspense and steamy romance. PJ Fiala, thank you for another entertaining story and thrilling, emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Rose Dioro and Troy Duran’s brilliant performance continues as they bring these characters and their story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portray, give each a voice that is a perfect fit for that character’s persona while taking the role and making it their own sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance. These mega talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.
