I enjoyed this but want more.
This is a shortish audiobook at just over 3 hours long. I enjoy this length of book when I want to finish a story in one evening or while driving for just a couple of hours. This is my second audiobook by Curt Bonnem and I really enjoy his voice. I hope he does more books in this series.
First Love is book 6 of The Friessens series but you don't have to have read the others to enjoy this one. Katy and Steven are young and in love. Katy is a high school senior while Steven has graduated and is now an apprentice electrician. They want to get married in August but both sets of parents are against it.
This book really resonated with me. My husband and I got engaged while I was a senior in high school and he was a freshman in college. Out parents never really spoke out against us getting married but I know they all thought we should wait until we were older. All of the passion of young love in this book brought back many memories.
It's a good story about Katy and Steven asserting themselves as young adults and getting ready to start their lives together. The story ends with an HEA but I really want to learn more about this couple. The next book in the series, Family First, is also about Katy and Steven and I'm looking forward to reading it.
