Fun audiobook!
Flame is book #5 in the Carmichael Family series. It was such an entertaining best friend’s sibling, bodyguard romance. Foxx and Bianca were a perfect pair. Unresolved feelings that led to a good storyline and chemistry. Their book was fast paced with mild angst and I loved the ending! I couldn’t get enough of the Carmichael family dynamic.
Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom did a great job portraying these characters.
Marriage of convenience…
Flame is book #5 in the Carmichael Family series. this is Foxx and Bianca's story. It's an insta-love, best friends sibling, bodyguard, marriage of convenience read with all the feels. You get the push and pull with some low angst. I absolutely loved the Carmichael family dynamic throughout this series.
CJ Bloom and Teddy Hamilton did a fabulous job portraying these characters.
Foxx is a grumpy, sexy alpha-male
Flame by Adriana Locke is the fifth book of five in the Carmichael Family series. This book is about Bianca Brewer and Foxx Carmichael, her brother’s best friend who had also worked as her bodyguard. Foxx and Bianca had been very close when Foxx requested to be transferred to another family member’s detail without explanation. Six months later, Bianca’s life was in danger and Foxx did not trust anyone but himself to keep her safe. Due to some sneaky contract manipulation, Bianca needed to be married within less than a month or her family would lose valuable assets. His marriage of convenience evolve into the real deal? The chemistry between these two was extremely hot and their connection swoony. I enjoyed the narration, but am not sure that Teddy Hamilton embodies the alpha-male that grumpy Foxx most certainly is. He read the book well, but just didn’t fit the part. Overall, this was a good story and an enjoyable audiobook. I recommend it for all those who like contemporary, spicy, grumpy/sunshine, marriage of convenience, best friend’s sister, bodyguard romance stories. If so, this audiobook may very well be for you.
