Since I’m not a fan of American fiction but like to know enough to get by in circles that do, I thought I’d listen to this 1+ hour adaptation performed by Gary Cooper, Ingrid Bergman, et al They sold me on the purchase.

It didn’t sound like them at all. In the credits of the NBC production at the end, it lists the readers - none of whom rang a bell (pun intended). Certainly not Cooper or Bergman.

Even though I wouldn’t have purchased without them, it was decent enough for my purposes.
