The Rose Quartz
While four cousins visit their grandmother (after an unsuccessful season), they happen upon a treasure. According to the legend the Rose Quartz will lead to one’s true love. Will it work? The cousins have hope. Each will have a turn to keep the quartz. We will see what happens.
The cousins decide to take the Quartz to the village to have it put on a necklace. When Annie goes into the jeweler, she runs into Evan Colborne, Duke of Rutland. A few days later they meet again at her grandmother’s party. Gran and her cousins are convinced the quartz is at work. Annie doesn’t think so and besides he is a rogue, not the kind of man she wants to marry. The party is fun and things seem to be going well, but a twist in the story may change everything. What if the quartz really doesn’t work? Nice story with fun and a bit of drama. Enjoyable narration by Niamh Boundy.
