Audie Award Finalist, Solo Narration - Male, 2013
Audie Award Finalist, Classic, 2013
Narrator Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, i bought this only 2 weeks ago and read along with the book just fine, including the letters and chapter 1.
The reader gives a great performance and even better when doing the Creature's voice. It's so sad and sympathetic. Very well done! Highly recommended.
Terrible...DO NOT PURCHASE.
I purchased this to use in the classroom to go along with my students reading the book. It does not start with the preface, the Letters or even Ch. 1. It starts with the monster's narrative. if that's all you need, good for you.
Dan Stevens + Frankenstein = AMAZE-BALLS
AMAZING IT'S MATTHEW CRAWLEY READING ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS EVER.....haha.
