Author Garry Wills on this edition of Fresh Air. Willis, a Pulitzer Prize winner for Lincoln at Gettysburg, has written a new book criticizing the Catholic Church, Papal Sin. Wills is a practicing Catholic and studied with Jesuit priests, though he was never ordained. In Papal Sin, he describes a papacy that seems unable or unwilling to admit its mistakes and addresses topics such as birth control, the ordination of women, and views on the Holocaust.
