New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan continues her sexy new contemporary stand-alone series with an enemies-to-lovers office romance.
Paris Trissel is in a dating rut. Despite the pact she made with her friends to find someone to share her life with, she’s throwing in the towel after only a few blind dates. Add in the fact that the new hire at the job she used to love happens to be the Brady brother she can’t stand, and Paris is having a terrible year.
Prior Brady’s life seems pretty perfect from the outside. He has a wonderful, caring girlfriend, a family he’s never been closer to, and a new job he can’t wait to sink his teeth and talents into. Too bad the woman he has to work with for hours a day hates him on sight.
Once the two are forced to find the balance between chemistry and temptation, however, they’ll realize they’re stronger together than apart. Except when Paris’ past comes back with a vengeance, bringing terror, pain, and horror with it, both she and Prior will have to lean on each other.
In more ways than one.

Prior and Paris..friends to lovers!
Paris Trissel has had two disastrous blind dates set up by her friends. She decides she is done with dating. When she finds out Prior Brady is contracted to work with her for the next six months, her life just got more interesting.
Prior Brady cannot figure out why Paris dislikes him so much; he thought they were friends since her best friend is engaged to his brother. Since they will be working closely for the next six months, he his determined to change her opinion about him.
After witnessing both of Paris’ disastrous blind dates, she realizes she misjudged Prior and a friendship begins. Even though Prior has a girlfriend, they try to fight the attraction between them. When Prior’s relationship with his girlfriend goes south and he catches her in bed with her ex, he decides to take a chance with Paris but will her past come between them and keep them from getting their happily ever after. Another great story by Carrie Ann!
Wow, what an ending. I never suspected who would be trying to kill Paris.
Of course, Prior and Paris are not on the friendliest terms, yet they manage to work and play together. I feel for Paris in her job, because I have been there. As a woman in a male dominated world you are looked down upon and basically harassed. She actually handles it very well, but it causes her to not have any friends at work. When things start happening, Prior is there for her and has her back.
These two work as a couple because however similar they are, they are also very different. And they have a great support group in the Brady brothers and the best girlfriends. I cannot wait for Dakota's story. I love Macon and hope he and her get together, even though she doesn't like his influence on her son.
From That Moment
No matter how close a family is, whether by blood or chosen, there are parts of yourself that aren’t shared or out there for everyone to see and know. Paris has a past she doesn’t speak of but it’s coming at her at full speed. Prior has the perfect family and life from the outside looking in but looks can be deceiving. They will need to hold on to each other to make it through.
I love al of the Montgomery books and their spin offs. I feel so entrenched in each of the families and towns.
