Moving Up Its a Must
If you are upwardly mobile in fire and EMS this is a must read. The most cherished term in the fire service is to be called a firefighter’s Chief. This is your roadmap to that title. This book really is about being all in as a servant leader in the fire service. Right of to the last Chapter on exiting your career there are some pearls of wisdom and several fire service truths. Gary’s years of hard knocks, successes and failures are shared in a fashion that is identifible for most that have subscribed to some of the great fire service leaders. I bought this and listened to the entire book all weekend while repainting a bathroom, 16 of the easiest hours I ever did listening to an audio book. My wife came in several times and was so intrigued she stayed and did some work asking questions about some of Gary’s comments and principles. She would give this five stars too. Lead Paramedic, Company Officer or Chief Officer plenty here to digest and ponder.
