Game of Love

Dex Remington has loved Ellie Parker since they were kids. After several years apart Dex and Ellie run into each other again when Ellie returns to the city. I absolutely love the Love in Bloom Series by Melissa Foster. Dex and Ellie’s love story is Game of Love, The Remingtons. Melissa’s writing is so full of passion, heart, love, and all the rest of the feels you can come up with. My favorite part is that even though family members may be disappointed with one another they will always support each other in times of need, no matter what. BJ Harrison is the narrator for the audiobook. BJ has a smooth voice that is easy to listen to. Whether you read or listen to Dex and Ellie’s story, Game of Love, I truly believe you will enjoy it. 4 stars!

I loved this story! This story is Dex Remington and Ellie Parker. They knew each other when they were younger, and Ellie was in foster care. These two were the best of friends and then one day she was gone. Now as adults she showed up and they spent a couple of days together and unfortunately, she left (or ran) again. She broke Dex’s heart and now he doesn’t want to open it for anyone or trust anyone. Present day he and his business partners and brother are at Nightcaps, and she is there. They re-connect once again, and she still has one foot out the door and he isn’t sure he wants to try again. However, she gets an amazing job opportunity however her past comes back in more ways than one, but this time Dex is there to help her slay the demons in both the bad memories/ghosts of the past and the present danger. It was nice to see Ellie truly find herself and in turn she and Dex can be together like they should have always been. The ending for this story was great. I listened to this book as an audiobook narrated by BJ Harrison. The narrator did a good job with the story and characters as usual. I especially enjoyed his narration of the fan boys at the beginning of the story and of course Dex’s parents when they were sharing their wisdom and during the serious conversations between Dex and Ellie. #LivePlayThrive

A new family added to the Love In Bloom series and once again, Melissa Foster has hooked me in. I love her writing style and this book is amazing. Dex and Ellie are destined for each other. Childhood sweethearts, the two were inseparable until the day Ellie up and leaves with no explanation. Now years later, she is back, trying to rebuild her life. But what will Dex do? This story is an epic love, where Dex loves with his whole heart, no matter what the problem or circumstance. Hesitant with his trust though, he needs Ellie to be all in. Ellie has suffered so much through her childhood and now with her latest relationship. Giving up her secrets will not be easy. And will Dex still love her? Foster deals with relevant issues with compassion and a realistic view letting us see just how parts of the community suffer. It's devastating and the love of the Remington's beautiful. I can't wait to get to know the rest of them!

BJ Harrison always brings warmth and love to his narrations and I enjoy him every time. This book is packed with feels, and he brings them all to the front and makes us aware with our hearts. Loved it!
