The National Capital Commission of Canada has the mission and the mandate to build the Capital Region around Ottawa as a source of pride and unity for Canadians. One place the NCC accomplishes its goals is at Gatineau Park in Chelsea Quebec, across the Ottawa River from Ottawa, Canada's capital city. It's February when we explore Gatineau Park. We are exploring the ecologically diverse 363 square kilometer Gatineau Park on snow shoes, with a naturalist guide and a six-year-old junior naturalist.
