Publisher Description
Gemma is the story of a child abduction written from two widely divergent points of view: 12 year-old Gemma and Hazen Wook, the 36-year-old man who abducts her. Hazen is a violent pedophile, a sexual obsessive, and Tilly does not white-wash or sanitize his thoughts in any way. This book is scary and not for the faint of heart.
Customer Reviews
Disturbing yet well told
Not sure why I picked this book, I've never been a Meg Tilly fan (except for BOUND). The thought of listening to her voice through the whole book wasn't appealing BUT for some strange reason I still "Read" the book. It was worth it. Meg Tilly's telling of the story was AMAZING! She wrote and voiced a gripping tale. When she was Gemma you could hear the little girl/young women trapped in a really sick enviorment, but still finding tiny things to help her go on. It is disturbing, after all it is about abuse, so please keep that in mind if your considering the book.
