Publisher Description
The page-turning, never-before-told story of Kim Campbell's roller-coaster thirty-four-year marriage to music legend Glen Campbell, including how Kim helped Glen finally conquer his addictions only to face their greatest challenge when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
Kim Campbell was a fresh-faced twenty-two-year-old dancer at Radio City Music Hall when a friend introduced her to Glen Campbell, the chart-topping, Grammy-winning, Oscar-nominated entertainer. The two performers from small Southern towns quickly fell in love, a bond that produced a thirty-four-year marriage and three children.
In Gentle on My Mind, Kim tells the complete, no-holds-barred story of their relationship, recounting the highest of highs—award shows, acclaimed performances, the birth of their children, encounters with Mick Fleetwood, Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, Alice Cooper, Jane Seymour, and others—and the lowest of lows, including battles with alcohol and drug addiction and, finally, Glen’s diagnosis, decline, and death from Alzheimer's.
With extraordinary candor, astonishing bravery, and a lively sense of humor, Kim reveals the whole truth of life with an entertainment giant and of caring for and loving him amid the extraordinary challenge of Alzheimer's disease. This is a remarkable account of enduring love, quiet strength, and never-faltering faith.

An audiobook that is indescribably beautiful:
… acts of Faith, Loyalty, Reciprocal Love, & Gratitude - that reveals the Man, how his Career launched, & his Undeniable Love for Kim Campbell.
Unbelievably moving… over 2 days, listened to all tracks.
When a teen, my family allowed only “Classical” eg Mozart, Beethoven in our home. Nevertheless, when we finally could afford a black & white tv, I snuck into the room, closed both doors to watch & listen to the “Glenn Campbell” hour. Many decades later, & after a Beloved Aunt battle Alzheimer’s for 20+ years, & dealing with “Adversaries”, I “dvr’ed” Glenn Campbell’s final (2005?) performance @ the Troubadour w/ 4 of his kids, including Cal & Ashley. I play & dance to that very same frontandcenter production - as Kim Campbell states, movement/ dance helps..
I am far from being a dancer of Mrs Kim/Glenn Campbell, but there IS A MAGICAL QUALITY THAT’s beyond definition that compels me to dance, often alone as I, too, (Altho we intentionally never sought marriage: I was 40 & he 23-years older), remains “Gentle & Forever on My Mind” & in my heart.
And with “infinite” gratitude to the final wife, Mrs Kim Campbell, & the now-grown kids of Kim & Glen Campbell for sharing very personal memories & musical tributes that are embedded in this audiobook. To Kim, whom I deeply respect, I commend your Courage throughout & “ongoing” presence in Glen’s Life here & throughout Eternity. I sobbed while listening to specific Chapters… your narration “felt as if you were with me or I with you during the tough times… I label those “speedbumps” along Life’s Highway, including the unexpected blind date when your love sparked with that of a Celebrity 2-decades older. I’m so grateful that you wrote & narrated this truly amazing audiobook. Some understand the pain & cost caused by Adversaries- whenever I must deal with the same situation, eg an intense negotiation or a legal battle, I play the Dvr’d 2005 appearance of Glen Campbell @ LA Troubadour & the music enraptures, inspires me to dance, to move. It’s unlikely our paths will cross (I never approach Celebrities), but hope you’ll receive this humble review & if you’re inclined, feel free to call, message, & email. I’m a good listener who must have all manner of Security. My friends, 98-yo father & late mother & clients of an ongoing 45-year career in Finance are assured of 100% confidentiality.
Aside from, as you’ve experienced, matters of Public Record… That others, ie Adversaries or the [horrid] TN Legislator, either “unsealed very private matters/documents” or used your & husband’s name without your consent. I, too, have encountered the same.
The actions of others are unfathomable but privately, my Faith, has guided me to respond to best of my ability.
I commend all that you’ve done, advocated & wish you many decades of a blessed Life, while Glenn remains “Gentle on your mind” & deep within your heart…
