Publisher Description
Jillian Nejat is the only dating and relationship expert on the planet who is incapable of speaking to men. If they’re living, if they’re breathing, it’s game over.
With her bank account at zero, her career a dumpster fire, and her dating life in a 10-year slump, she moves into a tiny, dirt-cheap NYC apartment.
Unfortunately, the apartment is already occupied.
Daniel (no-last-name) is a sexy, shirtless, six-pack wielding heartthrob who is also...dead.
He isn’t living. He isn’t breathing. He’s a ghost. He’s also the only man on the planet who Jillian can talk to.
Soon, Daniel’s convinced that it’s his afterlife mission to resurrect Jillian’s love life. He knows, if he helps her fall in love then he can move on. Jillian agrees. The last thing she needs is a Lothario ghost haunting her living room.
But then, one practice date leads to another, one confession leads to more, and suddenly, Jillian fears she’s falling for the one man she can never have.

A contemporary romance with a paranormal twist
Ghosted by Sarah Ready is her newest release. It is about Jillian Nejat. She moved into a new apartment, and a ghost appeared. The ghost, Daniel, couldn’t remember who he was, where he came from, or how he died, but he was the only man she could talk to besides her father. Jillian’s life, including darting and professionally, was in the toilet. Daniel concluded that his purpose was to help Jillian fall in love, and then he could move on. But as they practiced dating something happened. What does one do when she has fallen in loved with a ghost?
I am a newer reader of this author’s work, but I have loved every book I’ve read. I can now state definitively that I am a fan. The author weaves words to create stories that are rich with description and emotion. Her characters are multifaceted and impossible not to love. Jillian has so many quirks and gets into predicaments that had me laughing out loud. Daniel showed varied aspects of his personality in different circumstances. His light irreverence and tendency toward innuendo also kept the comedy going strong, especially in contrast to Jillian’s purity, I truly couldn’t imagine how this pair would reach their happily ever after, but Ms. Ready managed it handily. I listened to this book as an audiobook and highly recommend the experience. The narrators were perfect for their characters and both enhanced the book experience for me. I recommend this book for readers who love contemporary romcoms with a slight paranormal bend. They could be enjoyed by fans of Laura Pavlov or Mary Kay Andrews. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after listening to an advanced complementary copy of this audiobook thanks to Netgalley and W. W. Crown Audiobooks.

This book was SO CUTE. I think the story was super creative and I really enjoyed it! I was trying to come up with how the story was gonna end but once I saw where it was going I was surprised and intrigued which definitely kept me interested.
I absolutely adored Daniel. I had a hard time with Jillian at first cause I thought her character was a little odd. She’s painfully shy to the extent that she can’t even speak to men (think Raj from big bang theory) so I found that a little extra. But I grew to really enjoy her character.
Overall I really enjoyed the story though. It was unique and fun 🥰

MILD SPOILER AHEAD. SKIP IF YOU HAVEN’T READ 🚨🚨🚨🚨
I was a little underwhelmed with the ending. Just the very end, it felt a little to convenient and I would have liked a little more from it.
