Publisher Description
Eliot Rosewater, a drunk volunteer fireman and president of the fabulously rich Rosewater Foundation, is about to attempt a noble experiment with human nature, with a little help from writer Kilgore Trout. The result is Kurt Vonnegut's funniest satire, an etched-in-acid portrayal of the greed, hypocrisy, and follies of the flesh we are all heir to.
As an added bonus, when you purchase our Audible Modern Vanguard production of Kurt Vonnegut's book, you'll also receive an exclusive Jim Atlas interview. This interview – where James Atlas interviews Gay Talese about the life and work of Kurt Vonnegut – begins as soon as the audiobook ends.

Terrible reader (Cautioned)
I have not listened to anything except the preview. All the same, I listened to the preview several times over, and looked up this voice actor's other works. He seems competent as a voice actor, but poorly suited for this. I may have done better with a text doc and an auto reader on my computer. It was read like a robot. I have other Vonnegut audio books, and they are far more competently read. Even in his darkest of descriptions (this one discussed Mushari), Vonnegut is a sympathetic voice, and this had all the sympathy of a rolling pin. I am sorry Mr Summerer, because you seem like a competent voice actor, but this sounds like a first read through. If I am wrong, I apologize, but they only give 30 seconds and I am being asked to buy a $26 recording of a book I truly love.
