River
Thirteen years have passed since the war started, bombs fell, and the central states became a thing of the past.
When the war ended, the government erected a wall to divide the surviving states from the destroyed ones. I never expected to leave my town, but unlike those who volunteered to go, I wasn’t given a choice.
With a dim knowledge of my strange abilities, the soldiers came for me. They took me beyond the wall, where I learned the truth is far more terrifying than I imagined. Alone, with humans and demons eager to see what I can do, I find myself irresistibly drawn to the one man I should avoid most—a man who isn’t even really a man.
Kobal
I’ve spent my entire life with one mission… reclaim my throne from Lucifer and fix what the angels tore apart when they cast him from Heaven.
Not even when the humans tore open the gates, and unleashed Hell on Earth, did I waver from my goal.
I’ve never been closer to my throne, yet I find myself risking everything because I can’t stay away from her… the woman who might be the key to destroying Lucifer.

Actually really good
I don’t give 5 ⭐️ reviews. But I actually considered it. I give it a 4.5/5. I don’t like audiobooks and I don’t like “demon” books AT ALL but this one was so good!
The plot is actually so good. It reminded me a little bit of supernatural. I did not want it to end!! I definitely see myself finishing the series.
Listen to it.
Glad I didn’t trust the reviews
Let me start by saying that I knew I would give this a 5 star rating less than halfway through. I’m very glad I didn’t buy into the reviews that claimed it was a “slow moving plot.” As a person who is a fan of series like GOT and the Harry Potter movies, I adore a story that lays out a lot of the details and builds the right amount of anticipation that leads to incredible peaks of action! This story did just the right amount of that in my opinion. I loved knowing every part of the backstory of River and Kobal and the fact that there was still some mystery to look forward to as the story progressed to the end. This book was perfectly captivating and well developed and I look forward to completing the full series. Great job to the author and narrator!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Pretty Decent
After looking at other reviews I was a bit skeptical, but the book was actually pretty good, decently written, and the plot is interesting. My only issue is That this book is slow paced as it pertains to the main plot. It was a bunch of filler with nothing exceptional happening. The spice level is high and if you’re into fantasy like demons and wolfs it’s a decent read.
