Look for E L James’ passionate new love story, The Mister, available now.

Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty—until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him—past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian’s cold, wounded heart.

Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him?

This book is intended for mature audiences.

Simply Magnificent

I could not bring myself to buy the three previous audiobooks after hearing the brief preview. The female narrator sounded extremely childish. However, I broke down and actually read the three books, and they were very engaging and quite seductive to read. When I found out last week that Grey was being released I hoped the audiobook version would not dissappoint as I prefer to listen to audiobooks. The narrator for Grey is simply magnificent. To listen to the story told through the mind of Christian, and being told by a fanatastic narrator was well worth the money spent.

Yes - it is essentially the same story, but it is fantastically more. How many times in life or stories do you just want to know what the other character is thinking or feeling. In the first books you read all the doubts and thoughts of "innocent" Ana. Grey allows the beautiful insight into Christian's thoughts, and he is quite possibly equally as naïve when it comes to understanding the simple pleasures of the world outside of sex.

Poor choice of a narrator

While the story was good from Christian's point of view, the narration was poor at best. Zachary Webber obviously doesn't know how to pronounce names correctly. It's Elena (el-en-nah) NOT Alayna (a-lay-nah) Lincoln. It's Leila (lay-lah) NOT Lela (leh-lah) Williams. Maybe Mrs. James should screen her narrators better. Such a waste of $30.
