From #1 New York Times bestselling author B.K. Borison comes a new whimsical, haunting romance. When a runaway grim reaper tries to save a life, she clashes with a skeptical Guardian, forcing them to form an unlikely partnership beyond the grave.
Darcy Moore is tired of death. Which would be fine and good ... if she wasn’t a Grim Reaper. Determined to outrun her designation as the villain, Darcy decides she won’t be dragging her next assignment to the underworld. She’ll be saving him instead.
Unfortunately for Darcy, there’s a complication in her plan. Guardian Angel Gabriel Aetos doesn’t tolerate threats to his little corner of the world, and a Grim Reaper showing up at his bar is as deadly as it gets. But when he realizes Darcy is not as she seems, Gabriel must decide if he can trust his growing feelings or hold on to his long-standing grudge.
But magic doesn’t come without consequences. And the Department of Hauntings & Spirits will eventually come calling for their missing Reaper.
A spooky yet simmering enemies-to-lovers tale to keep you warm this fall.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The course of true love never does run smooth…especially not in the afterlife, when two supernatural beings with opposing job duties encounter each other in the mortal realm. After Darcy died in 1918, she became a Reaper, ushering newly departed souls into the afterlife. But Darcy is tired of death and longs for the mortal pleasures she was never able to experience as a chronically ill young woman. Something has to change—and something does on her new assignment in Annapolis, when she finds herself immediately attracted to bartender Gabriel. Unfortunately, Gabriel is a Guardian Angel who sees every death as a failure and has little love for Reapers. Their departments may be sworn rivals, but Darcy and Gabriel’s attraction proves much harder to resist. Newcomers can jump right into this second Ghosted romance, while returning listeners will enjoy another trip through B.K. Borison’s wonderfully quirky afterlife. We loved watching these two fight their inevitable attraction, gradually surrender to it, and muster the courage to challenge the destinies they once thought were inevitable.

So good!
I loved Grim Tidings as much as I did the first book in this (Ghosted) series: Good Spirits.
Slightly darker in tone than Good Spirits, but not dark, if that makes sense. Darcy and Gabriel are well-matched—tough, often prickly on the outside, yet still surprisingly tender and vulnerable. Another heart-achingly beautiful story from B.K. Borison.
I loved the tie-ins and cameos from book to book. I’m looking forward to the next three books in the series!
