Harper Dash Is on the Case

A prequel short story told from the point of view of Harper Dash, the sister of Vacation Mysteries series narrator Eleanor.

Harper Dash doesn’t know what she’s doing with her life. She wanted to be an author, but instead she works for her older sister, Eleanor, whose bestselling Vacation Mysteries series has consumed both their lives. She’s in love with Connor Smith, but he’s her sister’s ex and the protagonist of Eleanor’s book series. And not that into her.

But then, she gets an email from Connor inviting her to go to Six Flags with him for the day, one of her favorite places on earth. And even though roller coasters don’t really seem like Connor’s thing, she can’t help but think that life might be turning around . . . right up until a dead body is discovered next to her favorite ride, and it turns out that Connor was mixing business with pleasure when he invited her to join him, because of course, he was.

Can she help Connor solve the murder, or is this going to be one more thing that she doesn’t quite measure up to? There may be no coincidences in murder mysteries (TM), as her sister is fond of saying, but can there be romance? Only one way to find out.
