Publisher Description

The Presidential Agent adventures return, in the most surprising novel yet in the #1 Wall Street Journal – and New York Times–bestselling series.

Mexican drug cartels are shooting up the streets of Laredo and El Paso. Somali pirates are holding three U.S. tankers for ransom. The President of the United States is fed up and, as Commander in Chief, has what he thinks is a pretty bright idea — to get hold of Colonel Charley Castillo and his merry band and get them on the case.

Unfortunately, that will be difficult. Everybody knows that the President hates Castillo’s guts, and has just had him forcibly retired from the military, and now Castillo’s men are scattered far and wide, many of them in hiding. There are also whispers that the President himself is unstable — the word “nutcake” has been mentioned.

How will it all play out? No one knows for sure, but for Castillo and company, only one thing is definite: This is going to be hazardous duty.

Hazardous Duty

Awful Narrator, he made this audiobook sound like a poor imitation of "the Dukes Of Hazzard" TV show. I couldn't finish listening the narration was that bad

Ouch

He is one of the authors I watch for new books. I have all of his. This one could have been 3 chapters and all the rest is going over the history of the others. If I had it to do over again I would wait till I could get it from a friend or a used book store. $3.00 is about right for it. I already paid for the rest of the book when I got the others. Why did I have to pay for a repeat?
What happened and who wrote this? Doesn't seem like the author I like.

Yikes

Don't let the cover art fool you. There is no 'action' in this book. Literally nothing by Castillo in any kind of heroic role. It's a review of the series up to this point, with some awful attempts at adult humor, lamely explained by the author at the end. Don't waste your money. A brilliant author swung and missed completely on this one.
