Customer Reviews
Once again Chloe Howarth blessed us with a phenomenal novel.
This book was devastatingly delightful to read. Once started I simply couldn’t stop. And once finished I realized every twist and turn that surprised me was hinted at from the beginning. I adored the writing of each character and how they spoke to the audience and developed. It was amazing reading this, I wept at Anna’s chapters feeling so understood by someone who didn’t exist. The constant struggle with womanhood and being isolated from it yet not understanding was so simply yet beautifully written. I lamented with Tom and Jack at the struggles of having siblings that you love but don’t like. And Betty was a breath of fresh air just as confused about the siblings and their dark and twisted path as I was. I will be recommending this book for a long time, and rereading it forever.
The voice actors did an amazing job bringing the characters to life and making the story so real. Hearing Anna’s thoughts voiced aloud made them so real and heavy. This goes for all the characters, each brought to life. Having me understand and agree with them, even though I truly didn’t. It just was hard to break away from their perspectives when they felt so real in front of me.
