Set in medieval times, this story is a short novella set-up to a larger series involving four young ladies who find their inner strength when beaten down by male dominance in one manor or another. The scenes are well developed and the characters are interesting. I look forward to more from this world. The narrator did a good job but was a little slower in speed of reading than I like. A narrating speed of 1.5x was perfect for me. I received a free promo code at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
