Worst Kidnapper Ever
In the second story in the Space Lords series. It picks up where the first book ends. Violette is out for revenge for the death of her father. She blames Josselyn. The crew of the Conqueror is boisterous and funny, and quite protective of each other. They consider themselves family. This poses a problem for Dev. He and Violette are beginning to have feelings for each other. He doesn’t want her to be hurt, but he will not allow her to hurt Josselyn. He seizes on an idea that might help, at least might bring some clarity to the situation. Why not go back to where it all started? What will the sisters learn? I really enjoyed this story. There is adventure, betrayal, revenge, truth, and love. There is also an abundance of humor. Dev’s experience with the Murkernals is laugh-out-loud funny. The characters are wonderful, and we learn a little more about them in each story. The narration by Michael Ferraluolo is excellent. I am voluntarily reviewing a complimentary copy of this book.
Nice listen
Standalone story. His Fire Maiden picks up where the prior book left off with the overall story arc but with new individuals to focus on. The characters continue to be interesting and captivating. The tension between the sisters is palpable and the attraction between the new lovers is hot. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character with appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Good world-building!
I’m late to this series, coming in on book 2; Pillow does a good job setting the scene so I didn’t feel like I was missing anything, well done!
This also seems to be a fun world, and the book still packs action, family drama and steamy scenes. Based on this, I’d like to explore more of this author’s writing.
