After almost four decades in the music business, David Foster - producer, arranger, songwriter, performer - is ready to speak.
In his compelling and outspoken memoir, Foster shares incredible stories from his years of working with music superstars, including Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Natalie Cole, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, and many others. Foster offers rare glimpses of the musical icons at work and shares his secrets for success in the fickle music industry.
At its heart, though, Hitman is the story of a boy with perfect pitch who grew up to become one of the most influential music forces of our time.
Enjoyable Book by the Hitman, David Foster
I really enjoyed this book. I've been a long-time fan of David Foster and it was great to be able to see a snapshot of his career in this book. It’s an easy read/listen without overt embellishment, but entertaining enough and keeps your attention. I have the printed version, but plan to gift this audio book to a few friends of mine working in the industry. I think anyone who is working towards specific goals, especially in the music/entertainment industry, and is driven by their love for what they do will benefit from Mr. Fosters forthright, and "tell it like it is" candor, organically captured by Mr. Fenjves. Definitely check it out.
