Publisher Description

It’s been a long hard ride for Morgan and everyone. Just when things were starting to look up, the park was attacked, and they lost Bobbie. Danny’s physical wounds were nothing like the emotional loss of Bobbie. It was hard on Mel as well, and the rest of the group also felt the loss. With the attacks on the community becoming a greater threat, they must be dealt with. These attacks must end. But what can the group do against an army with artillery?

It’s been almost a year since "The Day", and Morgan is worried about his parents. It’s something that has been on his mind, often hidden or buried under the daily burden of his new reality. That worry is getting harder to ignore, and something is going to have to be done, so he can know, one way or another.

Even with all the life-threatening issues, life must go on. The daily requirements of feeding everyone and dealing with the innumerable challenges that crop up must be addressed. And there’s Fred’s pregnancy. While a blessing, it presents serious risks to her. Morning sickness is the least of her concerns. The only easy day in this new world is yesterday.

Law197 ,

Outstanding series... Book 11 soon?

A great story the whole way through. I am re-listening to the series starting over at book 1 now. Just waiting for A.A. to publish the next in the series. I would suggest it to anyone who is preparing for when things get worse. I’ll admit, Morgan and the guys seem to have absolutely everything a person could ever need. I mean he starts off in book #1 with a get home bag that has more crap (good crap) than most people have in all of their preps. Example: He keeps NVG’s in his get home bag haha. It would be great to have in that scenario, but who is keeping 3-5,000 dollar NVG’s in a go bag? And as the series progresses, we find that he has knowledge of absolutely every practical skill that a human could know. Those things are not super realistic. No one can be that prepared. I read a lot, have shooting practice several times a week, and a family. There’s only so much time in the day, and only so much $$ in the bank account. I love hearing everything he has, and it’s wonderful info for a person who moderately preps. But it just makes me jealous and want to spend money.

So some things could have been more realistic. But it made for a much better drama and learning tool to have some superhuman preppers (Morgan and Sarge). Yet - Seeing the way people have reacted to COVID 19 already... it should move this book from the “Sci-Fi/Fantasy Genre” into a “Realistic Drama” category.
