Thoroughly Enjoyable
This was really fun to listen to. It took a bit to get used to listen to ONLY dialogue and sound effects with minor narration from Skippy, but it was a lot of fun. Sometimes the sound effects would override the dialogue, but that might have been due to only using one earbud.
I would totally buy another one of these if it was done. I wish Robert Picardo had been able to play a larger role. Katie Mulgrew did a great job as Nagatha! Loved the rest of them as well. Great job, keep them coming!
Enjoyable enough but weird and unnecessary
The audio drama format doesn’t add as much as the writers seem to have intended, and there are several parts that seem to have been extended far longer than necessary, possibly because they wanted to make use of their voice actors. The Kristang talk for ages, and an early scene with their AI stretched on for an absurd length of time. Brock Steel has a scene where he’s snapping his fingers but the snap sounds are played over and over again for the entire thing, and overlapping enough that it sounds like he has six hands.
The story is good though, and it’s fun hearing sound effects and other voices
Home front an expeditionary force
Horrible, series with just RC Bray narrating to this point was great. This book poorly written and doing it as a drama with multiple readers came across childish at points.
