Excellent Story & Narration🎧Engrossing & Emotional!
This fabulous friends-to-lovers romance captivated my attention and tugged at my heartstrings the entire time. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, easy to like and root for, too. Connor Devlin, who works as a paramedic, needed to find something to help soothe his anxiety, and his partner suggested taking up knitting, which is what led him to the local yarn shop. Judah Bissel runs that shop with his mother, and he felt an instant attraction to Connor, despite thinking he was straight, but he enjoyed talking to him, and suggested he join the classes they teach at the shop. This was the start of a new friendship, but there was more to the friendship, an undeniable chemistry between them, and it took a blizzard and them being holed up together for those underlying feelings to emerge. Feelings Connor struggles with afterwards, that and the coming out to his family and friends. Judah was patient with him, and my heart went out to him because you could feel the pain he was feeling. There is never a dull moment in this book, a multi-layered story with the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. K. Evan Coles, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Kevin Earlywine was fantastic at voicing the characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. I loved how he took each role and ran with it, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Perfectly embodying the two lead roles, showcasing every facet of their personalities, their every feeling, and making you feel them all. He was just as fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters, too. Earlywine is an entertaining storyteller, and his captivating performance not only elevates the story to another level, but rivets you to the story.
