About the author
KATY BRENT is a freelance journalist and has been in the
industry for over fifteen years. She started work in women’s
magazines back in 2005. In 2006, Katy won a PTA award
for New Journalist of the Year. More recently she has focused
on television journalism. Writing a book has always been her
dream and lockdown finally gave the time she kept using as
an excuse for not doing it.

It kept me curious and on the edge of my seat but most of the time i felt like same thing was happening over and over and the end felt rushed compared to the build up of the story, overall it was entertaining.
fun listen!
i actually really liked this book and im often picky about what types of books i can enjoy. while obviously the murders/not getting caught are unrealistic, i personally don’t find that the purpose of the book is really the perfect murders, but rather the “motive” for them, which tackles a very real issue that women face daily—so I don’t mind the unrealistic bits.
i like that kitty’s motives don’t disguise the fact that she is not a good person. you see the good and the very ugly in her, and there were times when i was shocked by some of her actions. she’s the kind of anti-hero that you just can’t hate nor fully love. the narrator voices her very well.
Overall an enjoyable story with humor, drama, tension, murder, and even some romance
