Hilarious. Sad. Moving. Fantastic. Everything poetry need to be. It's absolutely fantastic. Taylor Mali is a genius.
Modern poetry at its finest.
This man performed at a Slam Poetry contest at my high school and I was blown away. I did not hesitate to buy this album from the merch table and he autographed it for me. Truly one of the most inspirational and intelligent poets I've ever heard from. The man is an English teacher and it is clearly evident through his grammar, vocabulary and speaking skills. His poems will either have you nodding your head, crying, laughing or clapping your hands in your head or physically. Recommended poems from this album are Bohdisattva, On Girls Lending Pens, Your Eyes Are Only My Limitless Now, Another Preposition Entirely and Defending American Interests. Worth every cent you will pay for it.
